Whilst our limestone for bagged feed has this title, the reality is it goes into bedding for both agricultural and household animals. Whether it is for chicken feed, cattle bedding, or cat litter, our limestone has a range of applications within the sector.
Our limestone, used in the agricultural sector, is 100% calcium carbonate. It is a UFAS (Universal Feed Accreditation Scheme) accredited product. We have two grades available, Limestone 1, primarily used for animal bedding for cattle and other farm animals. We also have a coarser grade available, Limestone 2, this goes into applications such as cat litter.

Our Calcifert range of soil conditioners is made from calcium carbonate limestone. The reason this is so effective for this application is its high level of reactivity. This makes it ideal for managing the pH level of soils. This is important as healthy soil results in higher crop yields, healthier plants, and overall a more resilient farm.
In addition to this, it can be used in conjunction with other minerals to target specific soil nutrients. This makes products such as Calcifert Lime, Calcifert Sulphur, and Calcifert LS11 effective for a range of different requirements.
The Calcifert range offers granulated products to the agricultural industry. Calcifert provides essential nutrients to grassland and crops in a format farmers apply using conventional fertiliser spreading equipment.
Used as an anti-stripping additive and mineral filler, our limestone is found in asphalt to improve quality cost-effectively.
