Paving blocks are another core part of the construction sector in which Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS) has applications. Paving blocks can be made using cement, flyash, and GGBS. Considering that Ordinary Portland Cement is reported to consist of 5-% of global CO2 emissions GGBS provides an alternative option for paving block materials. This is due to GGBS being a by-product of existing industrial processes.
