In LKAB Minerals logistics is a core part of our ability to offer solutions. We recently performed an audit with Oxelösunds Hamn which provided not only positive feedback but also inspiration for our team.
Auditing logistical supplier
Michael Lindman, Global Logistics Manager, and Anders Lundgren, Chief Operating Officer, visited Oxelösunds Hamn AB (Port of Oxelösund) to conduct a site audit on the basis of our supplier code of conduct.
Anders comments, “Our experience through the years of working with the port of Oxelösund has been positive, and they are perceived as service-oriented and problem-solving.”
“It was inspirational to see their system for daily monitoring of activities, processes and KPI’s. It was clearly integrated along with a well-functioning system for 5S. Every employee at the port seems to be on board and with a sense of pride for their accomplishments. This visit further strengthened our relationship with this key supplier, and they also expressed that it was very positive for them and their team to be recognised by us for both their performance and integral role in our offering” says Michael Lindman.
“A sustainable purchasing chain means that we need to focus on every part of the process, also the good working ones,” Anders concludes.
