LKAB Minerals is looking to recruit someone for a busy operations department. We now require a Works Manager for our Flixborough operations.
Working with the senior management team to develop strategy appropriate to business needs. Ensure measures are in place to verify compliance with the agreed business strategy and identify variances to this strategy.
LKAB is an international industrial minerals group with a leading position in a number of product applications. We develop mineral solutions in partnership with our customers, supplying natural minerals engineered for functionality and usability.
LKAB Minerals Ltd sources, processes and supplies industrial minerals to a broad range of industries in the UK and abroad.
To ensure that all operations activities are conducted in line with country, company and local safety, environment and quality procedures. As Works Manager you will lead by example in terms of safety behavioural standards and managing change. You will have multi-unit responsibility in a close geographical area; working closely with Technical and Engineering functions. A background in mineral processing will be a distinct advantage.
As Works Manager you will promote continuous improvement methodologies, tools and techniques to analyse and identify opportunities, apply root-cause analysis and sustain operational improvements in line with best practice methods.
As the Works Manager you will have responsibility for all safety standards on site. This includes driving continuous risk reduction through prioritized improvements, including all behavioural safety and culture change. This is centred on a passionate belief that all injuries are preventable and our objective is to be lost time accident free across all LKAB Minerals Ltd activity.
